Elementary STEM Units

Alphabet STEM
Grades: PreK and Kindergarten
Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and STEM Career Activities for the letters A through Z! These activities emphasize generally accepted outcomes for kindergarten readiness in the areas of math and science. The focus of this curriculum is to develop Stage 1 STEM skills and awareness of real-world STEM concepts and careers. This bundle includes activities for each letter of the alphabet.
STEM Explorers
Grades: 2 - 4
Pack your bags and take your students on a voyage of STEM challenges that incorporate the engineering design process with themed activities from countries around the world. Explore STEM career connections, icebreaker activities, and math extension problems that are all included in each complete lesson.
Launchpad
Through interactive sessions, Launchpad students become a team of astronauts challenged to complete 10 missions centered around a Journey to the Moon or Mars. Each week, students will read a message from Astronaut Alex, who will introduce the activity, provide background context, and connect to a STEM career. Includes instructional videos and a storyline.
Transform your classroom into a team of astronauts on an epic space adventure! These units are perfect for informal settings or to be integrated into a STEM elective course.
This STEM curriculum begins with Stage 1 team challenges that build teamwork and communication skills. Mission Control then guides your class through Stage 2 engineering design challenges, with each unit progressively more complex as students arrive at and explore living and working in space. The final phase is to tackle the Stage 3 Space Colony Project to design and build a model of a long-term settlement in space. The Moon and Mars units also have kits available from Pitsco Education.
